Question 1

What is DIFM and who is it built for?

Accepted Answer

DIFM is an enterprise CMMS and Health & Safety platform engineered for global manufacturers. It unifies asset reliability, preventive maintenance, work execution and regulatory safety in a single product. Explore the platform for the full module map.

Question 2

How is DIFM different from standard mobile CMMS apps?

Accepted Answer

DIFM ships native Health & Safety modules, including RAMS, LOTO, training matrix and incident logs, as part of the core rather than as a bolt-on. See the platform for the full module breakdown.

Question 3

Why choose DIFM over ERP maintenance modules or per-user CMMS tools?

Accepted Answer

Three reasons. No per-user penalties with a Lifetime License, so adding technicians never raises your license fee. Health & Safety (RAMS, LOTO, training, incidents) is built in rather than bolted on. And it runs on the tablets and phones your team already carries, set up by an engineer, without a long ERP consulting project.

Question 4

Is DIFM a replacement for other CMMS tools?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and more. DIFM covers everything teams use standard mobile CMMS apps for, plus native Health & Safety, 12 industrial languages with RTL, and enterprise controls multi-site manufacturers actually need.

Question 5

Which languages does DIFM support?

Accepted Answer

English, French, German, Spanish, Russian, Polish, Romanian, Arabic, Italian, Portuguese, Turkish and Dutch, with full right-to-left rendering for Arabic.

Question 6

Can DIFM connect to our existing PLCs and IoT systems?

Accepted Answer

No. DIFM does not connect directly to PLCs, SCADA or IoT hardware, and there is no telemetry API. It provides versioned, searchable storage for PLC and automation program backups, linked to assets and engineers, so the right version is always recoverable. See the scope on a scoped demo.

Question 7

Does DIFM scale across multiple plants and regions?

Accepted Answer

Multi-site rollouts across your contracted buildings (unlimited assets and users within each), granular permissions, regional data residency, SSO and isolated infrastructure options. Explore the full capability map on the platform page.

Question 8

Do we need to deploy every module to start?

Accepted Answer

No. Use Build Your Package to pick only the modules you need today. You can add modules later without re-implementation.

Question 9

How do I scope what my plant actually needs?

Accepted Answer

Start with the configurator for a guided scope, then quantify the business case with the Downtime Cost Calculator before talking commercials.

Question 10

Can we model the ROI before we commit?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The Downtime Cost Calculator turns your current downtime hours and labour rates into a monthly and annual loss figure you can take to finance.

Question 11

Where do I see proof points and product depth?

Accepted Answer

The resources hub collects deployment playbooks, technical briefs and proof points.

Question 12

What does enterprise deployment include?

Accepted Answer

SSO, SCIM, isolated infrastructure options, regional data residency, a dedicated deployment engineer and an SLA. Talk to us about your global rollout on the enterprise demo path.

Question 13

How quickly can we get started?

Accepted Answer

First work orders can run within days of setup; a full first-site rollout typically takes around four weeks, depending on asset count and data readiness. Scope your platform in the configurator, then book a demo with an engineer to map an implementation plan to your equipment and compliance regime.

Question 14

What support do we get after go-live?

Accepted Answer

Every deployment includes monitoring, security patches and a named technical contact. Enterprise SLAs for business-critical sites are covered on the platform page.

Question 15

Will our operators and technicians actually use it?

Accepted Answer

DIFM is built for the shop floor: it runs as a WebApp on tablets and phones, uses QR scanning to open an asset in one tap, and keeps operator screens to simple guided steps in 12 languages. No laptop or desk training needed.

Question 16

We run everything on spreadsheets. How painful is moving over?

Accepted Answer

Not very. Your dedicated DIFM engineer sets up your plant hierarchy, asset structure and user roles as part of onboarding. From there your own engineers can add equipment directly in the system, or our team can load your existing asset lists and PM schedules for you as an optional paid onboarding service. Talk it through on a demo.

Question 17

What happens to our data and system long term?

Accepted Answer

Your data is always yours and can be exported at any time. With a Lifetime License you own the right to use the software for life, with future updates included, so there is no renewal that can lock you out.

Question 18

Who builds DIFM?

Accepted Answer

DIFM is a product of Klev Tech UK Ltd, built by shop-floor engineers, reliability leads and safety managers. More on the about page.

Question 19
